Founded in 1981, Morgan Jewelers began as a vision and dream for Philip Higgins. It was earlier in the 1970’s when Philip went to his first estate jewelry show in New York City and was introduced to the art and design of exquisite pieces. Captured by the excitement and beauty of the industry, Philip returned home to Boston determined to bring the beauty of custom designed work he found in New York City to his own community.

More than 30 years later, Morgan Jewelers is one of the Boston area’s finest family-owned jewelry stores. Located on Main Street in Melrose, Massachusetts, Morgan Jewelers offers a variety of fine jewelry, certified gemstones, pearls and watches, and is an authorized representative of Howard Miller grandfather clocks and many other fine brands. Morgan Jewelers also specializes in custom designed pieces, including earrings, rings and charms.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

A Boston area native, Philip Higgins grew up in Melrose, MA and attended college locally.  He spent eight years after college working for Roy K. Eyges Inc., a prominent Boston jewelry firm, after which he discovered his passion for running a family-owned business.

Today, Philip serves as the founder and president of Morgan Jewelers, Inc. but also works every day in the store and with customers and jewelry designers to find and create unique pieces. Customer service is paramount to his business, so Philip works to ensure that every customer’s experience is positive.
